Marvin Lubinsky: On Feb 9, 1945 while leading the high squadron, I was attacked by 3 Jet ME262’s who shot the plane with 20mm shells and knocked us out of formation! I salvoed the bombs and dove for cloud cover several Thousand feet below us hoping the Me-262 jets would think they killed us! I leveled off in the clouds and flew towards Brussels where we crashed landed. 2 men wounded slightly but we hitched a ride back to England the next day
